Highly reputable and sought after commercial builder require a Contract Administrator asap


Your new company
This well-established, diverse commercial builder have successfully delivered education, commercial, industrial, residential, health and heritage projects for over 50 years. This stable organisation is passionate about the development of their employees internally and keeping their current staff engaged. With a majority of their work being government funded, work is plentiful. A position now exists for an experienced Contract Administrator to join the team in the inner Eastern suburbs on a permanent basis.

Your new role
You will be responsible for:

  • Your initial project will be an $19M commercial new build
  • Preparation of scope of works, subcontractor packages and procurement schedules
  • Progress claims and variations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Administration of RFI’s to clients, consultants and architects
  • Working alongside the PM to ensure smooth operations


What you'll need to succeed
  • Solid experience in a Contract Administrator role in Melbourne is essential
  • Must have previous experience in the delivery of Commercial projects in Australia
  • Exposure to education projects will be looked upon favourably
  • Must have worked for a locally based head contractor
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to construction / trade qualified
  • Strong attention to detail and natural leadership skills
  • Strong relationships with subcontractors will be looked upon favourably
