The Project

The Early Works package involves performing services in two phases of planning and delivery, the majority of which comprise utility services under a Managing Contractor arrangement.

The Works associated with this role include the design, development and removal, relocation and/or protection of a substantial number of utility services including large and medium water utility assets, gas utility assets, and telecommunications and electrical utility assets.

Construction on the Early Works package has commenced and is set to be completed in 2022.

Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking applications from energetic, highly skilled Site Engineers with experience working in civil, pipeline, infrastructure and services to join our North East Link Early Works team based at our Bulleen Site Office. You will be part of a team that is responsible for one of the major infrastructure relocation works.

As a Site Engineer, you will be accountable for

  • Monitoring key construction requirements and implementing prompt corrective action if required, to ensure they are achieved in line with agreed specifications
  • Managing subcontractors and suppliers work
  • Managing the verification of conformance for works under control
  • Maintaining all relevant project document control and records
  • Managing temporary works design and ensuring all relevant approvals are obtained Actively liaising with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes.

Requirements For This Role Are
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (post graduate qualifications are an advantage)
  • Proven forecasting and budget management, EOM process and cost tracking skills
  • Demonstrated programming skills with experience in multi-discipline interfaces
  • Safety, environmental and quality focus in project delivery
