Nine is currently seeking a Broadcast IT Engineer to fill a full-time vacancy at our Perth Studios.

The successful candidate will be part of an enthusiastic team responsible for both system design and integration as well as support of all broadcast IT systems.

Your key responsibilities would include:

  • Onsite technical support of all aspects of a Metro Television Station.
  • High level support of TV broadcast systems including but not limited to ENPS, Avid and Imagine.
  • Onsite support of Outside Broadcast’s incorporating News and program production.
  • Working with the Technology team to provide innovative solutions for Digital Asset Management, data distribution and control of broadcast equipment across disparate networks.
  • LAN/WAN configuration and troubleshooting in a variety of systems including Microwave and Satellite.
  • Supporting a range of network devices using diverse operating systems such as Windows, Linux and OS-X.
  • Working regular weekend and public holiday shifts will be an expected part of this role.

In this role, you will perform a range of both routine and complex tasks whilst providing system support, implementation and high level operational support.


The ideal candidate should have:

  • One or more of the following qualifications: Engineering Degree, Media Industry Technologist Certification (MITC), Diploma in Electrical or Communications Engineering or comparable qualification in the Broadcast or IT Industry.
  • Experience in Computer management and end user support.
  • Digital system management and design/implementation experience.
  • On-Air Control System Management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • A flexible attitude to working irregular hours including weekends, public holidays and shift work.
  • Broadcast equipment maintenance and repair experience highly regarded.
