    About the Opportunity

    Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Project Engineer will assist in maintaining and developing Engineering procedures and Standards within Allied Pumps. The Project Engineer shall work closely with other Engineers, Designers, Project Managers and Draftsperson to provide technical assistance and engineering support to the project delivery team.

    From time to time, the Project Engineer may be involved in assisting the design engineers with technical engineering deliverables, drafting duties and peer reviews.

    All Employees will adhere to safety requirements as detailed in policies and procedures, taking all reasonable measures to maintain safe working behaviours. All workers are expected to participate and practice continuous improvement activities and support organisational goals for a lean work environment.

    Typical duties will include:

    • Understand Technical Documents such as datasheets, manuals, process diagrams, engineering drawings and extract relevant data in order to assist the project delivery team in executing the project
    • Manage documentation aspect of Projects by delivering and maintaining, manuals, MDRs, document and drawings list/register, testing documentation (ITPs, ITRs, FATs), technical queries, action list registers and work packs inclusive of all testing documentation and approved drawings
    • Plan Design stages with design engineers and draftsperson in consultation with the Engineering Manager and the project delivery team
    • Anticipate possible challenges and gaps in scope and Identify variation opportunity
    • Liaise with Factory Management and QA departments to collect and collate completed QA documentation.
    • Support the Engineering Manager with Production and Maintenance of internal Engineering procedures and processes and standard technical documentation templates
    • Drafting and Engineering duties as needed

    • Demonstrate compliance with Allied Pumps policies and procedures, including but not limited to Health and Safety.

    About You:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Equivalent (Mechanical/Electrical/Process or Equivalent)
    • General Engineering Design
    • Project Engineering/Management
    • General Drafting
    • Testing and Quality Documentation experience (Inspection and Test Plans, test procedures, Factory Acceptance procedures and work packs)
    • Project Documentation experience (Operator’s Manual, Manufacturer’s Data Report, Drawings and Documentation List, Technical Queries)
    • Ability to understand technical documentation such as datasheets, manuals, pump curves, process diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, electrical single line diagrams and electrical schematics diagrams.

    Desirable Experience & Knowledge:

    • Previous experience in the mining, manufacturing, and construction industry
    • Previous experience with document control management

    Software Knowledge Requirements:

    • AutoCAD or similar CAD software
    • MS Suite
