About The Role

Due to business growth we currently have an exciting position for an Project Engineer with a strong background in Industrial Electrical in the Construction industry, working with projects ranging from $100,000 to $30M to join our team. A large proportion of works will be within the food and beverage industry, and experience in process controls is essential.

You will be responsible for supporting the project and estimating teams in the design and execution of project based engineering requirements throughout the project life-cycle. You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of document control, work closely with our clients and subcontractors, and report to the project management team.

Duties May Include

  • Plan, design, document and manage electrical activities and processes;
  • Execute relevant programming and execution of installations, testing and commissioning;
  • Assist in technical guidance relating to operational related activities to additional functions within the engineering environment
  • Implement and monitor the project program in respect to engineering services
  • Develop and foster effective and regular communication with the Project Team including suppliers and clients
  • Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with the Quality Assurance, Environmental Management and Safety Management Plans and other relevant standards and legislation
  • Demonstrate visible safety leadership in the workplace through leading by example, fostering Health and Safety awareness among electrical staff, managing risk and promoting continuous improvements in the area of electrical safety.
  • Maintain an up-to-date awareness of all relevant electrical safety requirements, records, legislation and policies and communicate these to employees.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Australian Electrical Engineering Degree and legal unrestricted rights to work in Australia;
  • RPEQ accreditation
  • 5+ years experience in power, instrumentation and process engineering;
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role;
  • Well-developed communication skills including the ability to interact with internal customers, external stakeholders and clients;
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and promote cohesive teamwork;
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
  • Personal flexibility to operate in a dynamic work environment;
  • Understanding of Australian Standards and Regulations
