JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic to join our friendly, well respected and long-established company.

You will be joining a dynamic team where you can establish long-lasting working relationships with your immediate peers and the wider company.

  • Accountable for appropriate resources, systems and focus to ensure ongoing management of WHS compliance and supporting workplace wellbeing
  • Ensure the ongoing training and development of the WH&S team, and business to facilitate ongoing improvements to safety and wellbeing
  • Develop and implement strategy and targeted plans to address key risks and opportunities in the area of safety and wellbeing
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Cook International network to proactively contribute to continuous improvement in the areas of safety and wellbeing
  • Develop risk profiles and control plans for risks in WH&S

Do you have what it takes?

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
  • Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety Legislative requirements essential
  • Understanding of Local Laws and Building Code requirements highly desirable
  • Understanding of organizational culture and the importance of leadership in steering strategic change essential
  • Experience with leading professional staff with autonomous technical roles essential
  • Experience with developing and implementing risk management plans essential
  • Experience with developing and implementing strategy essential
  • Experience with working with committees demonstrating strong skills in consultation, communication and customer service highly desirable
  • Excellent time management, planning and organising skills essential
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
