What’s the opportunity?

Reporting into the Managing Director of Pluralsight APAC the Director, Solution Architects APAC, is responsible for a regional team of solutions architects that focuses on engaging effectively with sales across each step of the buying journey and creating a streamlined sales motion.

In this role, you’ll have the responsibility to lead, grow and coach a team of Solutions Architects across the APAC region. It’ll be your mission to closely align with the Sales leaders, make sure you help them reach and exceed their target and participate in developing the strategy for APAC.

Who you are?

You will be an expert in Enterprise SaaS sales processes, and leads a regional team that removes technical roadblocks – perceived or actual – to create a frictionless buying experience for B2B customers. This role operates as an expert on our solutions and technical/process leader for the APAC regional Sales organisation.

The right candidate must be experienced both working as an individual contributor, owning the technical sale, as well as leading and mentoring a team of SAs. They must have seen success selling to Corporate and Enterprise accounts, and in convincing C-level and director level executives of the technical merits of software as a service.

The Director and the SAs team will work, in conjunction with Sales, Professional Services and Customer Success, as the technical bridge between Account Executives and prospective clients. The Director and team will take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our prospects to drive revenue and customer satisfaction by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers, onsite, online, and via telephone.

What will I be doing?

  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of SAs
  • You will hire and retain talents within the SA team, act as a coach / mentor for the team members
  • Drive best practices within the team, and apply global approaches to the SA role
  • You will ensure the daily operational delivery of the SA team to make sure all Sales get the adequate level of technical support they need on their deals
  • You will ensure a smooth transition of deals from pre-sales to our post-sales customer success and professional services teams
  • The ability to create accountability across a regional team to drive new and expansion billings via improved win rates, deal size, buyer NPS, and sales cycle velocity on all deals where Presales are engaged.
  • You will have a deep understanding of the Pluralsight Platform (including our third-party integrations), and how technical solutions are handled and secured
  • Support SAs in key customer meetings and events
  • Own projects aimed at furthering the Global SAs team’s success and as defined by the Managing Director of APAC
  • Responsible for a regional team and collaborating with the MD, APAC and Global Pre-Sales Leadership in North America and EMEA, regional sales leaders and their leadership teams to deliver on rapid revenue growth by supporting and influencing the go-to-market motion
  • Represent the SA function at regional Go-to-market and other leadership meetings focused on APAC’s different sub-regions: ANZ, Australia Government, Asia, and India
  • Represent the SA function at deal reviews, pipeline meetings, forecast reviews, and related growth-focused processes
What skills do I need?

  • 5+ Years experience managing or leading a SA team of 4 or more
  • Previous consulting experience implementing enterprise class software solutions.
  • Midmarket & Enterprise software selling experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, persuasion, presentation and writing skills with the ability to build long-term business relationships.
  • Experience scoping, managing and executing customer pilots and Proof of Concepts.
  • Outstanding problem solving skills, including the ability to meet a business requirement with a technical solution.
  • Superior solution scoping abilities, using our existing platform and influencing new product development.
  • Understanding of computing systems and principles, particularly around the delivery of hosted services.
  • Must be willing to work in a fast paced startup environment with multiple roles.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Obvious passion and people skills.
  • A strong desire to learn in a rapidly growing and dynamic startup environment
