The Role:

As Principal Engineer at INNOVIS you will play an integral role within our Adelaide team. 

Reporting directly into the Technical Director, you will thrive on utilising your sophisticated and refined technical, site and client facing capabilities to successfully manage and undertake all necessary project procurement and delivery activities.

With a recognised expert knowledge of specific competencies and technical areas, you will be a centre of excellence and knowledge for staff and clients during planning and delivery and play a pivotal role in defining and driving our culture as we expand.

In addition, it is expected that your commercial acumen will compliment an acute awareness and accountability for being economical with time and budget, allowing you the ability to further opportunities for business growth within the market.

You will be drawn to the unique opportunities a newly created role within a growing business can provide and understand the importance of being agile and flexible in your approach to meeting and exceeding agreed deliverables and key business objectives.

About You:

You are a consultative, results driven, technically skilled Engineer with theability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues at all levels. Underpinning your success is your ability to apply project management principles at a high level of proficiency across multiple projects while being proactive in all project delivery activities. 

Equally as important is your proven capability to manage multiple project teams successfully and at varying paces of delivery, collaborating with local and national teams where required in order to meet and exceed our client’s expectations.

These attributes, coupled with your excellent skills in managing time, setting priorities, and planning and organising self and others will allow you to repeatedly deliver outcomes mutually beneficial to all stakeholders.

It is expected that you will have an excellent understanding of systems, with exposure to RAPT, ETABS, Strand 7 and SPACE GASS being particularly advantageous.

Key to your success within the role will be:

  • The successful management of the projects for which you are delegated Project Leader - financially, technically, and contractually
  • Management of scope definition, briefing and delivery to exceed client expectations
  • Developing a detailed understanding of project requirements, and implementing measures to eliminate or mitigate risks
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully achieve budgets and deadlines
  • Having the ability to demonstrate agile, outcomes-oriented project delivery 
  • Being responsible for fee estimates and proposals, tender submissions, technical documentation (including developing concepts and detailed engineering design) and project scheduling
  • A proven ability to perform under pressure
  • A passionate drive for problem solving
  • Possessing exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Management of Internal and external stakeholder relationships
