The role

If you are a mechanically minded, customer service focused Concrete Batch Plant Operator, who likes to work hands on and has a talent for problem solving and prioritising workload, then this is the opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Concrete Batch Plant Operator to join our busy Swanbank team. In this diverse position you will play a critical role in our business by ensuring customer expectations are met during our ordering and batching processes. You will also be hands on in the plant with general maintenance, front end loader operation and general yard duties.

This role will require you to work Monday to Friday, with Saturday work as required. Start and finish times will fluctuate and be changeable depending on customer demand.


  • Take and enter customer orders
  • Batch concrete to specific mix designs
  • Front end loader operations
  • Complete daily audits
  • Management of raw material stock levels
  • Perform general plant maintenance
  • General laboring & yard duties

What You Will Need To Succeed
  • Experience in a Concrete Batcher role
  • A focus on positive customer service
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively in an environment of constant change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work as part of a small team
  • Be organized, with an ability to self-manage work and show a can-do attitude in a busy environment
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety
  • Confident when working with computers
