About The Role

This is a unique and critical leadership role, pivotal in setting clear vision and direction to a dynamic and cohesive team of Project Engineers responsible for the safe development and delivery of operational projects across the Non Process Infrastructure (NPI) Portfolio.

Reporting to the Superintendent, Projects and Modifications you will have accountability across the following:

  • Foster an inclusive and diverse culture, providing leadership to ensure a positive culture that promotes accountability and taking initiatives
  • Coach and lead a team of project engineers to ensure the portfolio is delivered to standard
  • Work collaboratively with other leads to ensure safe delivery against performance targets
  • Identifies and selects the best approach for the development and execution of projects
  • Develop and manage project and stakeholder plans and schedules to time, cost and resource allocation for more complex projects with multiple resources
  • Manage routine to monitor and identify project change, schedule and cost deviations and adapts the plan to continually maximise the value add of the project
  • Creates appropriate stakeholder reviews throughout the project lifecycle
  • Builds relationships with internal stakeholders that are critical in the performing of their role
  • Provides support and leadership to the team to understand the upstream and downstream impact of decisions
  • Ensures goods and services are procured at the negotiated rates, terms and conditions
  • Demonstrate awareness of key performance measures for a contract – applies routines to manage performance variance effectively.
  • Builds a risk aware culture across the team where risk is positively and proactively discussed.

You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues. Regular site travel/ stay is required.

A technical aptitude lends well to this role and whilst not mandatory a relevant engineering qualification will be viewed favourably.
