Are you ready to work for Australia’s leading seafood producer? Are you a team player that is passionate about safety? If so, you may be the person we are looking for! We are currently looking for two enthusiastic WHS Advisors to join our all-important WHS Department.

About the job

These roles are based in Hobart, with travel to our sites around Tasmania. You will be partnering with these sites to drive our safety systems to provide both a safer physical and psychological working environment for our 1,800 staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to ongoing reviews and updates of WHS policies, procedures, forms, and group safety systems;
  • Ensuring sites are aligned to internal group safety systems and ISO 45001;
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant WHS Acts and Regulations;
  • Coaching and mentoring WHS Coordinators and other site based personnel; and
  • Assisting with proactive and effective injury management.

About you

You will have a WHS Diploma or equivalent, with experience in either working on the water or in the construction industry. Experience in accident investigation and auditing is also advantageous. You will also have the following attributes for success:

  • Ability to both think practically and outside the box when problem solving;
  • Unwavering resilience and ability to remain calm in difficult situations;
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders;
  • Attention to detail, with a thorough understanding of WHS matters and investigations;
  • Ethical, honest, and have a high level of integrity;
  • Alignment of personal values with Tassal’s values.
