Talent International is working in partnership with a government organisation in assisting in sourcing a Desktop Engineer on a contract based in Sydney.

Key accountabilities
* Provision of expert technical and advanced problem solving skills to resolve all technical desktop and Office 365 issues using standard practices, procedures, approved troubleshooting tools and workflow processes.
* Establish, maintain and utilise appropriate tools and methods to address user support queries and return user's ICT systems and networks to optimum efficiency.
* Develop reference materials such as UAT Test plans or end user materials such as quick reference guides to assist the ICT support community through maintenance of documentation on system configurations and technical processes.
* Providing second level support services by developing and managing migration processes, troubleshoot problem areas and provide end-user assistance where required
* Prepare and analyse, diagnose, and resolve complex desktop problems for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions.
* Provide high level customer service advise to support teams across relevant LHD users to provide the appropriate user access.

Essential Requirements
* Expertise in supporting Office 365 from a client perspective, email client configuration in a multi domain environment.
* Extensive Microsoft experience and strong, technical working knowledge of Windows desktop OS, SCCM, PowerShell, DNS and DHCP.

Selection Criteria
* Extensive knowledge and experience in supporting client server applications, web applications, Microsoft applications, Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 desktops) and Office Suite 2010,2013,2016 and Pro-Plus.
* Proven experience in preparing End User Computing environments for consumption of Office 365 services such as Exchange Online.
* Demonstrated experience in supporting enterprise directory environments underpinned by Microsoft Windows Server (2008 and higher), Microsoft Active Directory and, SCCM, Group Policies, VPN technologies and security compliance on desktop devices.
* Ability to workshop and identify migration test cases with customers and produce high quality UAT Plans and associated documentation.
* Demonstrated experience in Incident, Change and Event management processes and technologies as aligned with existing ITIL methodologies.
* Advanced skills in dealing with issues effectively under pressure and in handling, resolving and escalating in crisis situations.
