The Senior Sales Engineer (SE) is a customer-focused technical sales professional who provides high level pre sales support and guidance to customers and collaborates with Territory Sales, Strategic Account Managers and partners to recommend and develop appropriate customer solution offerings. The SE acts in a consultative fashion and is looked to as an expert in his/her field by the account team and customers.

Essential Functions

· Provide pre-sales assistance for sales opportunities to customers and partners. Including, Proof of Concepts, demonstrations, installations, troubleshooting and hands-on training of Forcepoint products. Refine and research technical requirements of the opportunity

· Define solution options and articulate the benefits of Forcepoint products

· Act as an interface between the Sales organization and technical staff to resolve outstanding issues

· Assist in closing business in regional territories through field visits to major account prospects

· Perform product demonstrations and presentations at customer and partner sites, company road show’s and events

· Provide reporting and feedback on customer accounts and field activities to Sales, Product Management and Engineering

· Work closely with customers in the design and implementation/integration of Forcepoint products

· Promote new and innovative approaches to addressing business challenges and problems

· Maintain a broad-level of knowledge of industry trends and how Forcepoint products add value

· Understand the customer’s business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform, including identification of improvement areas in network design

Key Requirements

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritise and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner. Set and manage expectations with senior stake-holders and team members

· Demonstrated ability to make and take responsibility for decisions on major technical issues

· Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives

· Exceptional written communication. This role requires an ability to understand and articulate both the business benefits (value proposition) and technical advantages of Forcepoint products and solutions

· Resilience and ability to handle stressful situations effectively while managing several tasks

· Advanced understanding of internetworking, including new products and solutions

· Understand and be conversant about Forcepoint, its solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

· Experience as a Sales Engineer

· Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of security solutions and technologies.

· Advanced understanding of internetworking, including new products and solutions

· Strong experience of administrating and planning complex network environments

· Technical knowledge in one of the following topics; Check Point Firewalls, Cisco Firewalls, Juniper Firewalls, Intel Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls

· Deep Technical knowledge and know-how of information networks & network security including;

o Firewall Technologies

o Proxy Technologies

o Routing & Switching

o VPN Technologies

· Good understanding of Web Security solutions (On premise, Hybrid and Cloud based proxies)

· Good understanding of Data Loss Prevention solutions (Gateways and Endpoint)

· Good understanding of Email Security Solutions (On premise, Hybrid and Cloud based)

· CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) preferred

· Ability to travel both regionally and internationally if required
