Great opportunity for a keen and reliable people looking for a career pathway as a fully qualified Roof Tiler.

We are recruiting on behalf of Bristile, one of the country’s largest suppliers of concrete and terracotta roof tiles.

We have a number of positions available for an enthusiastic people looking to start or continue their Roof Tiling apprenticeship in the Melbourne metro area.

Successful candidates will be employed full time, be paid award wages and receive training in a Certificate III Roof Tiling.

If the idea of working with your hands, working out doors, and working on construction sites appeals to you, a Roof Tiling apprenticeship ticks all the right boxes. You will get the opportunity to work alongside professional tradespeople and you will learn all aspects of the Roof Tiling trade. You will also receive dedicated support from HIA Apprentices in all aspects of your training and employment.

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will

  • Have a great attitude towards work, self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn
  • Be punctual, reliable and hardworking
  • Be committed to finishing their apprenticeship and become a fully qualified Roof tiler
  • Be a team player
  • Have an attention to detail
  • Must have a driver’s license or reliable transport
  • CI Card (White Card) (or be willing to obtain prior to starting)

About HIA Apprentices

Please note that we have a huge demand for junior apprentices at the moment (under 21 years of age)

Some tasks will require moderate dexterity and moderate to high physical exertion through varied working positions, e.g. standing, kneeling, bending and overhead positions, working at heights plus digging and handling building products.

Apprentices are expected to be available during required working hours for both work placements and trade school/training centre environments and make their own safe travel arrangements.

Please note that all tasks carried out in conjunction with this position will be done so in accordance with WHS/OHS legislative requirements, codes of practice, job safety analysis and safe working/operating procedures.
