Join our Financial Risk technology team in building systems for Credit Risk Assessment catering for all businesses across Macquarie Group. You will be part of a Scrum team that is currently working to deliver a new Credit Assessment workflow system to be used by analysts throughout the whole of Macquarie. You will be working with various technologies, from customising a vendor system written in ASP.NET (C#) with a Microsoft SQL Server database, maintaining existing microservices written in Java, to supporting our migration to the cloud. We are a fully Agile Scrum Team who own the platform from development through to production.

As a member of our Agile DevOps Team, your responsibilities will include:

  • end-to-end delivery of new features: coding of functionality (C#, Java, SQL), system testing, facilitating user acceptance testing, and production deployment
  • supporting the production environment
  • continual improvement of our platforms and practices.

To excel in this role you will ideally have:

  • a solid foundation in computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms)
  • 5+ years of C# development experience
  • RDBMS experience – ideally Microsoft SQL Server
  • experience with software testing at various levels – unit testing, system/integration testing, automated testing of web applications
  • experience working with CI/CD pipelines
  • a strong customer focus and a willingness to own the end to end delivery of features that provide business value.

It would also be desirable for you to have:

  • experience migrating systems to the public cloud (AWS)
  • an understanding of front-end Web technologies
  • experience working in an Agile environment
  • previous experience in financial services.
