We are currently looking for a Water/Drainage Engineer with land subdivision/major projects experience to join our to join our dynamic Urban Development Team.

As part of the Urban Development team, this role will report to the Urban Development Leader and your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Design of major and minor drainage infrastructure
  • Deliver designs using hydrological principles with appropriate water management and treatments
  • Deliver Drainage strategies and detail designs relating to Greenfield subdivisions/major projects
  • Prepare stormwater management plans and reports
  • Works closely with the other members of the Urban Development team and sub-consultants
  • Fostering relationships with current and potential clients building on your existing networks to generate new business
  • Assist in mentoring and developing other members of the team.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or other relevant qualification)
  • Demonstrated experience in greenfield subdivision or major projects - a minimum of four (4) years
  • Competent in 12D, AutoCAD, MUSIC, Tuflow, HECRAS and Rorb
  • A thorough understanding of the Melbourne Water standards
  • An understanding of the land development process
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in running projects within budget and on time
