Position Summary

The Vehicle Personalisation FLA Engineer is responsible for the provision of ongoing engineering services and will require working with various functional teams to deliver on the undertaking aligned with the licensed automotive accessory process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate launch activities in applicable markets.
  • Coordinate the collation of required documentation for new parts proposals and submit to the relevant engineering PMT for review.
  • Audit the documentation submissions from the markets for new FLA-SBA parts and provide approval.
  • Conduct Quality Impact assessments for proposed FLA-SBA parts.
  • Liaise with relevant OGC activity in the clarification and suitability of FLA-SBA proposals.
  • Provide and report regularly on product development status with VP management and the markets.


  • Engineering University Degree (required)


  • Automotive engineering highly preferred (experience involving a structured design and development process also considered). 
  • Experience with multiple cultures, automotive markets, consulting, and delivering change.
  • Ability to manage large cross-market programs.
  • Project management experience
  • Be a self-starter - take responsibility for key program 'milestones'
  • Experience in processing analysis. Have a demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset, along with new business development exposure.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate and maintain a positive, professional, and pro-active attitude.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills and knowledge (e.g. Excel and PowerPoint).


  • A proactive approach to engineering design and issue resolution.
  • Strong communication skills suited to interactions with cross-functional teams such as marketing, legal, engineering & management.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a large volume of documentation submissions received by the markets.
  • Be familiar and understand Australian Design Rule Compliance 
  • Strong Project Management and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Particularly, communicate deliverables effectively to Senior Management.
  • Ability to work within a diverse (culturally and functionally) environment.
  • Change Management experience.
  • Drive for results approach and focus.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build, maintain and foster strong working relationships. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
