The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is currently looking for a highly skilled Engineering and Document Control Lead to join our team at the Springvale Water Treatment Plant.

As the Engineering and Document Quality Lead you will be responsible for developing the Document Control Plan for the defined scope on multiple capital projects. You will establish and maintain the Master Document register and project repository and ensure the efficient flow of documentation, handover, and close-out of project activities to ensure consistency in document control. In this role you will collaborate with other departments to structure knowledge management and document control tools for greatest efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining effective and positive working relationships with Operations, Veolia management and employees, client representatives, and external parties, in accordance with the company’s values.
  • Maintain engineering, design and administer and maintain the Arena Document Control application.
  • Train new users, set the tone for standards of documentation required.
  • Monitor changes or developments in the relevant State legislation, regulations and Australian standards and ensure that the impact of any changes or developments on the business operations is understood;
  • Ensure relevant defects/audit findings and actions are closed-out appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain project parameters for document control-related project requirements.
  • Support and assist Capital Delivery Project Manager / Operational Managers in the development and maintenance of site/project management plans and related documentation.
  • Manage key Water Quality & Risk assessment documents in the BMS system

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Water, Wastewater, Industrial Water or oil and gas treatment experience.
  • Practical hands-on engineering and project management experience
  • Experience in optimising process plants and managing process risk and performance
  • Experience in the development and implementation of project control plans, (ITC, ITP etc)
  • Knowledge of water industry markets
  • Experience with Quality, Environmental and OH&S Management systems
  • Highly customer-service focused and team-oriented.
  • Solutions focussed and engaging.
  • Open Class C driver's licence
