What are your main task and responsibilities?

  • Independently execute services, troubleshooting and or repairs of 2 stroke engines
  • Perform other field service activities on other Wartsila products such as 4 stroke engines etc when assigned.
  • Identify failures, faults and make adjustments during operation of 2 stroke engines
  • Provide internal and external work reports according to Wartsila standards.
  • Supervise the tasks performed by Wartsila employees and subcontractors.
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Perform commissioning and start-ups of Wartsila 2 stroke engines.
  • Promote Wartsila Products and Services
  • Comply with all Field Service IM Tools such as mobility app, service work report etc.
  • Collect and organize timesheets and expense reports. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required
  • Work according to the regulations, policies, procedures standards and work instructions including the management system and environmental quality

  • What do we expect from you?
  • Education:
  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or engineering science or marine engineering

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of work experience in Field Service or Sailing or Shipyard engine commissioning.
  • Service / Repair/Troubleshooting of 2 stroke Engines experience
  • Other skills:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Pro-active and independent individual with a team player attitude.
  • High attention to detail with a methodical approach and practical problem-solving skill.
  • Excellent communicator, written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Ability to deal with people of different nationality
  • Quality, Safety and environmental skills
