The Principal Solutions Architect helps to shape solutions for customers and influence the strategy and vision of our products. This role works closely with customers and Cubic Leaders to gain a deep understanding of customer needs whilst providing technical expertise to fill system gaps.

Please note - Relocation will be offered to those outside of Townsville.

Role Responsibilities:

Works on a range of projects and tenders, taking responsibility for the technical solution
Leads the analysis of requirements or problems, discussing and developing solutions with colleagues, subcontractors and customers.
Creates solutions that meet customers’ business needs as well as technical and functional requirements.
Leads the production of technical sections of contract proposals and bids; assisting with the production of commercial bids.
Produces and leads others in the production of high-quality requirements, technology, MOTS and COTS evaluations, business process and operational specifications and reports.
Interfaces with customers up to senior levels throughout the lifecycle of projects
Delivers requisite program documentation including program charters, schedules, requirements documents, specifications, design documents and testing strategies.
Designs and oversees the implementation of complex end-to-end integrated systems.
Identifies and prepares proposals for R&D investment.
Role Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer/Software/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 15 years of ICT experience, with at least 8 years in a military or Defence Industry environment.
Must be an Australian citizen and able to gain and hold an Australian Government Security Clearance
About You:

Experience working with internal and external customers and stakeholders to develop business and technical solutions.
Strong technology background, specifically in the delivery of complex Information Technology systems with high levels of 3rd party integration.
Experience with formal requirements management and traceability.
Experience in developing, improving and following policies, processes and procedures that formally define the project life cycle within an ISO 9001 or similar environment.
Understanding of PRINCE2, PMBOK &/or Agile IT project methodologies
Understanding of the ITIL v4 Service Management framework.
Deep understanding one of LVC simulation, Military C4ISR systems or telecommunications networks
