How will I help?

Reporting to the Principal Architect, you will play an integral role in ensuring that the solution architecture aligns with the roadmaps established within the enterprise architecture, and that it adheres to endorsed architecture principles and patterns.

You will be working as a Domain Architect in the Customer domain which is part of the CTO strategy & planning function, focused on delivering customer-centric information management solutions supporting all divisions and brands across the group.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage architecture development and governance processes to promote effective governance and solution quality within the domain’s architecture practice
  • Develop and influence relationships to ensure appropriate stakeholders are effectively engaged in the alignment to Enterprise Architecture’s direction
  • Ensure proposed solution architecture aligns with the domain roadmap and adheres to domain and enterprise architecture principles
  • Convert requirements into architecture and design, balancing architectural concerns of the projects with the concerns of the enterprise
  • Support the development, maintenance and application of IT Architecture policies, standards and guidelines to ensure effective Architecture and Design policies, standards and guidelines are developed and adhered to
  • Lead the development of solutions for allocated portfolio to ensure effective solutions are designed in accordance with business requirements, Westpac Group standards and IT Strategy
  • Accountable for facilitating high quality, timely IT estimates for solutions and roadmaps to ensure effective IT estimation of technology solutions
  • Analyse technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture
  • Provide expert technology advice and guidance to General Managers and Business Unit/GroupTech Group Executive to assist the business in the formulation of business strategy and technology investment decisions

What do I need?

  • Significant experience in solutions architecture in IT Industry/financial services or business consulting/strategic planning
  • Significant Experience in the role of an MDM Architect, leading Master Data Management program and full System Development Lifecycle.
  • Ability to translate business needs into enterprise architecture requirements
  • Ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
  • Solid understanding of master data concepts, processes, and tools including data modelling, data profiling, data quality assessment, data integration and data governance.
  • Proven experience in developing conceptual, logical and physical data model for customer and product domains
  • Experience in Siebel CRM and/or Oracle Customer Hub highly desirable
  • Practical leadership in master data management & associated tools (Oracle, IBM, Informatica, Talend, etc.)
  • Must have a technical background and be able to lead data integration, data modelling, MDM workflow, etc through a firsthand understanding of the work
  • A deep understanding of data lifecycle (data profiling, data quality, master data management, data warehouses/marts/staging/ODS)
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architect disciplines and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
