An opportunity exists for an experienced and qualified Electrician to join the team at our Oaky Creek North Operations. This position is located in the Engineering Surface Infrastructure team, where the successful applicant will be working a Tuesday to Friday roster.

In order to be successful you will have the relevant trade qualification, relevant coal mining experience and the ability to practice and promote safe work behaviours. These credentials are complemented by your genuine commitment to safety and demonstrated ability to operate in an environmentally responsible manner .

You will be responsible for providing electrical support to the surface infrastructure team with the main tasks including but not limited to statutory inspections, completing preventative and breakdown maintenance duties and participating in electrical installation and commissioning projects.

The successful candidate will hold a Queensland Electrical License, You will also have previous experience in diagnostics and fault finding together with the aptitude to interpret electrical schematics. Working to a high standard is also a pre-requisite for this position.

Experience with high voltage switching, programmable logic control (PLC) and holding EEHA certification and accreditation in calibration and testing will be highly regarded, though not essential.
