Engineering and Asset Strategy – Asset Management and Optimisation

We are currently seeking a Reliability Engineer with asset management and projects experience to join the Engineering and Asset Strategy Team. The role is residential and based in Mount Isa on a 5/2 4/3 roster.

This integral role will see the successful candidate challenged in the fast paced area of asset reliability and maintenance, driving continuous improvement through detailed data analysis and defect elimination principles. The role is responsible for identifying and managing asset reliability risks that could adversely affect operations, along with providing expert knowledge and input into the development and review of asset life cycle plans, maintenance strategies and budgets.

The successful candidate will be highly skilled in problem solving and have extensive experience in RCA methodologies, Condition Monitoring techniques and maintenance strategy development. Additionally, the successful candidate will also be responsible for the development, facilitation and implementation of improvement initiatives across the site using sound project management principles. As a degree qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with mining or relevant heavy industry experience, the successful candidate will demonstrate the Glencore Values, promote safety practices and procedures, build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and have the ability to work very closely in a small and highly productive team.

Computer literacy within Microsoft office is essential, while experience in SAP (CMMS) and other Asset Management software would be an advantage.
