Senior Development Operations Engineer

  • The Senior DevOps Engineer will provide technical leadership for the technologies that manage our environments
  • The role will develop, lead and train other Development Operations Engineers in the automation and management of system changes that allow our customers to control their environments.

We will count on you to:

  • In partnership with the Development Team Lead, and in consultation with our Solutions Architects, uplift our technical standards and processes to automate solution and environment deployments
  • Provide clear and timely feedback to customers about their systems operation
  • Provide regular feedback to other DevOps Engineers.
  • Deploy changes into application environments, as scheduled and requested by IT teams
  • Support incident resolution in alignment with our Service Level Agreements
  • Develop our deployment capability to support efficient, customer-controlled or automated release strategies and environment management

What you need to have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Extensive experience within a relevant IT technical role
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to stakeholders and communicate complex issues simply
  • Exposure to the Atlassian suite of ALM software.
  • A passion to drive automation initiatives

What makes you stand out?

  • Experience with scripting languages like Python or Powershell
  • MS SQL Server experience
  • Source control experience such as Git
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level software and websites within the Microsoft Server space
  • Excellent knowledge of working with DevOps tools such as Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo.
