Duratec is a multi-disciplined builder and maintenance contractor and regarded as one of Australia's fastest growing privately owned companies with over 15 branches across Australia servicing the Defence, Mining, Oil and Gas, Industrial, Marine industries along with Government assets and Commercial Infrastructure including heritage buildings.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to an expanding portfolio of awarded contracts within the Mining and Industrial sector, we are currently seeking two Project Engineers to join our North West operations team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be primarily responsible for assisting the project team in all day to day operations and running of maintenance and remediation projects. This role is FIFO from Perth to Karratha or Port Hedland.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be mentored and supported in the following:

  • Planning and co-ordination of works, equipment and personnel
  • Preparing and submitting progress claims
  • Monitoring project costs
  • Co-coordinating direct labour workforce and sub-contractors
  • Programming and scheduling works
  • Quantity take offs
  • Preparing tender submissions

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience in a similar role with remediation experience - exposure to this industry is an advantage
  • A strong sense of commitment and a willingness to learn
  • An ability to build and develop relationships at all levels
  • The ability to work methodically and autonomously with an ability to prioritise
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering

In addition, previous FIFO experience is highly desirable but not a must.
