This is a highly rewarding but challenging stand alone role located in our Parkside Office supporting busy operation.

Reporting to the Senior Field Services Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide a high standard of technical support for hardware and software on the phone and in person, building strong customer relationships;
  • Resolve all 1st & 2nd level problem and incident calls for hardware, software and business applications;
  • Installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining computer systems and support new applications;
  • Provide direct customer facing engineering support to resolve IT related incidents and requirements by repairing and maintaining issues;
  • Complete fault analysis and troubleshooting activities on infrastructure failures, investigate outages and resolve;
  • Asset management administration and inventory management; and
  • Perform regular software and hardware audits.

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor qualification in Computer Science, engineering or related discipline is highly regarded;
  • 5 or more years of experience supporting end user technologies working within an ITIL framework;
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in system engineering and solution implementation, equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered;
  • Proven experience in supporting & administering Microsoft services within a network environment;
  • Microsoft Certifications and experience working with Office 365/Microsoft Exchange is ideal;
  • Proven experience in supporting and troubleshooting of Switches, Hubs, Routers, Patch Panels, Modem communications and Remote support concepts;
  • Proven experience assisting Users in a mid-large size enterprise with technical issues associated with networks, PCs/peripherals and platform Operating Systems and associated hardware;
  • Capable in all aspects of Information Technology Field Service support;
  • Proven Incident Management skills;
  • Experience working with a variety of supplier / resource models, including matrix, managed services and multiple suppliers;
  • Advanced knowledge of modern software development technologies and methods; and
  • Knowledge of networks, desktop, deployment, video conference, unified communications and telephony.
