About the role

Having enjoyed solid growth to date, a junior architect is now sought to join our friendly team. Working under the supervision of a senior architect, the role will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Meeting with clients and determining their needs and requirements;
  • Providing details about project designs, materials and estimated building times;
  • Managing design projects from concept development through to completion;
  • Developing and presenting project proposals;
  • Adjusting designs and plans to meet clients needs;
  • Preparing drawings, blueprints, specifications, construction documents and cost estimates for development;
  • Conducting research and compiling reports on feasibility and environmental impacts of projects;
  • Complying with safety standards and local planning regulations;
  • Determining and adhering to budgets and timelines;
  • Writing specifications and contract documents and calling tenders on behalf of clients;
  • Inspecting construction work in progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications and quality standards.

Suitability of candidate

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in architecture or a related field and have 1 – 3 years experience in a similar role. The candidate will also be proficient in CAD software – Archicad, AutoCAD, REVIT. To apply for the role, applicants are invited to send through a CV outlining qualifications and experience.
