Chapter Lead Architect - Core

What’s your mission?

As a Cross Product Platform Chapter Lead Core Architect, you will be working closely with the other Architects in the team, and, also other Architects in the ANZx program to drive and co-ordinate the detailed design of solutions needed in Rest of Bank (Channels and Back Office) systems.

You will ensure ANZx strategies for handling, removing or managing impacts on current processing and systems are implemented successfully, as they are a key part to the successful delivery of the major ANZx releases..

What will your day look like?

  • You will be working closely with ANZx architects to fully understand the simplification strategies of the ANZx program especially focused on impacts to Rest of Bank systems and processes
  • Leading ‘end to end’ design workshops and discussions with partner systems to support ANZx releases
  • Oversee cross platform / cross system interface designs
  • Work with other ANZx Architects and partner Architects and designers to solve detailed design challenges that may surface
  • Working with Australia Tribes and their squads to shield existing systems as much as possible from ANZx changes in the initial
  • Collaborating from an end to end perspective with Product Owners and Engineers to translate business requirements into workable
  • technology outcomes for the Squads, and, ensuring they are aware of constraints that will cause major impacts to ANZ systems and
  • Promoting ETL tools into the solution designs to externalise changes and minimise current system impacts.
  • Provide ongoing support for tech platforms as required e.g. problem and incident management after releases from a design perspective.

What will be in your toolkit?

  • Previous experience managing a small team of architects and/or solution designers.
  • Previous Solution Designer, Application Designer, or Integration
  • Designer experience and demonstrated ability to manage complex changes from Design to production
  • Experience working on Enterprise level programs
  • Ability to work with fluid requirements and help shape those requirements around practical and deliverable solutions
  • Ability to lead design, solution, and implementation workshops
  • Ability to develop solution options and present recommendations as Design decisions
  • Experience working on existing ANZ systems, including understanding Retail and Commercial Core Accounting systems
  • Experience in integration and designing interfaces between application solutions
  • Being comfortable to give quick and accurate end to end impact assessments
  • Being able to lead detailed design problem solving sessions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A desire to continuously learn new techniques and technologies,
  • bringing innovative ideas to simplify and bring to life program strategies into the solutions
  • A broad understanding of how to apply New Ways of Working to the role
