BCA Engineers is seeking a highly motivated, pro-active ENGINEER for an exciting opportunity to join our Darwin office. This individual will develop and deliver quality engineering solutions across a variety of market sectors working with and leading project engineering teams.

Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering AND five years of progressively responsible experience in the field of Electrical Building Services Engineering.
  • Resourceful team player possessing strong planning, organizational and communication skills.
  • Able to project manage a variety of projects and lead teams simultaneously
  • Able to work independently
  • A very high standard of organization and inter-personal communications skills are essential. Complete proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working day-to-day in a dynamic office environment is a must
  • Ability to work within project budgets and schedules
  • AutoCAD and Revit knowledge would be looked upon favourably
  • Must be an Australian Resident and authorized to work in Australia


  • Site surveys to assess, evaluate and document existing conditions.
  • Prepare concept, schematic design, design development and construction documents independently and with confidence
  • The right candidate will have a sound engineering background, and be able to demonstrate experience in modelling, calculations, system selection, sizing and application of Australian standards.
  • Prepare project specifications
  • Communicate and co-ordinate work with project team, consultants and clients
  • Mentoring other engineers and technical officers
  • The successful applicant will be expected to participate in all facets of the engineering profession, including scoping of projects, preparation of fee proposals and project bids, drawings, specifications, client meetings and construction supervision.
  • Communicate and co-ordinate work with project team, consultants and clients
  • Review shop drawings, respond to and track RFI's
  • Attend construction meetings, make periodic site observations visits
  • Prepare and update inspection lists as required
  • Maintain and archive electronic project files
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes and other project correspondence
  • Attend project meetings

An Australian Driver's License is essential.
