Purpose of the Position

We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Construction Estimator / Co-Ordinator to work within our Scaffolding division on a permanent basis.

The Construction Estimator / Co-Ordinator plays an important part as a leader within our business, tasked with the responsibility for quoting and executing various projects to coordinating resourcing and scheduling of employees.

Geographical Coverage

Regional Western Australia, permanently based in Geraldton.

Position needs to be able to excel in the following key areas:

  • Proven track record of completion from quoting through to practical completion of scaffolding works
  • Active and safe supervision of all activities for our personnel
  • Lead regular toolbox talks, daily site activities and monitoring of all works undertaken
  • Coordinate resourcing and scheduling of employees at all stages of the works
  • Direct site activities to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
  • Overseeing general works on-site and offsite where applicable, directing and coordinating subcontractors on applicable project work where required, to deliver the works safely, on time and within budget, with an expected high quality and high level of service to our clients, many who are ongoing & repeat customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and be an effective time manager, used to working to deadlines and liaising with clients
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical abilities as well as a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and codes.
  • Create concept design drawings
  • Applicants must have an open mind and willingness to work collaboratively, continually learn, develop and support GHS Continuous Improvement culture in a systems management environment

This role would suit an individual with:

  • Minimum 2 years Construction Estimator / Co-Ordinator experience
  • Solid trade background as an Advanced Scaffolder
  • Experience with safe systems of work, OHS and mining standards

Licences required:

  • Construction Industry White Card (essential)
  • High Risk Licence as Advanced Scaffolder
  • Police Clearance suitable for Gold Industry (obtained within the past 12 months - essential)
  • Drivers Licence (essential)
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Space
  • First Aid Certificate

Other Abilities:

  • Work unsupervised
  • Work in a team environment
  • Mining and or Oil & Gas experience highly preferred
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol test
