At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we’re hiring highly technical and experienced developer architect to collaborate with our customers and partners on key engagements. Our experienced architect specializes in building new business applications in a cloud native environment and has a keen understanding of systems integration that will help our enterprise customers understand and plan best practices to deliver solutions. Our architect will deliver re-usable artifacts, reference architectures and engage in projects to assist some of the world’s leading enterprises in the integration of new, or their existing, operational tool sets with the AWS & Partner platform. Pre-sales engagements will focus on key customer solutions in large enterprises, assisting in enabling their integration with existing enterprise operational systems and processes.

The Industry Pursuits Team engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Be an active member of the AWS WWPS Industry Pursuits team by driving on-to-one and one-to-many application architecture and development discussions with developers, software engineers, enterprise/solution
· Expertise - Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn how to leverage future investment in integrated capability and tooling.
· Solutions - Define and deliver technical frameworks with partners and customers. This includes participating in pre-sales on-site visits, understanding customer requirements, proposing and delivering packaged (or bespoke) offerings, and delivering custom solution engagements, specifically focused on the build of new and integration of existing platforms.
· Delivery - Engagements include short on-site projects proving the use of AWS services to support new distributed computing solutions that often span private cloud and public cloud services. Engagements will include integration and adaption of existing enterprise application, operations monitoring, and orchestration systems to extend an enterprise’s capabilities into AWS cloud services.
· Contributing to a library of highly-reusable developer-focused artifacts such as demonstrations, sample code, blog posts, tutorials, lunch & learns, webinars and other modes of technical enablement
· Drive the technical and design discussions with AWS technical teams to help accelerate customer adoption and ensure best practice implementations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of experience building sophisticated and automated integrated platforms in a Cloud or On-Premises environment, particularly building service integration capabilities between multiple platforms
· Qualified in ITIL, TOGAF or similar ITSM frameworks
· Highly technical and analytical, possessing significant IT implementation and operations experience
· Deep hands-on experience working on the design, development and deployment of enterprise systems at a global scale
· Travel to customer locations across Asia Pacific may be required to sell and deliver professional services as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years of AWS Experience
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
· BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering background preferred; Masters Degree desired
· Integration of AWS cloud management services (e.g. CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM) with on-premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc
· Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems skills in a Cloud and on-premises environment
· Building and maintaining run-book style automation or orchestration platforms in global, distributed Enterprise IT environments
· Management of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) servers such as Jenkins, Atlassian Dev Tools and TeamCity
