About The Business And The Role

Essential Position Requirements

To be considered for this role you will possess these key skills and experience:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 2 – 4 years of design engineering experience with exposure to manufacturing would be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing process.
  • Good knowledge of hydraulics and engineering materials.
  • Good knowledge in structural design and heavy machinery products.
  • Strong foundation of engineering basics and theoretical calculations and validations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of new product development and product maintenance process including relevant engineering release process.
  • Knowledge of mechanism design and analysis.
  • Good exposure to manufacturing methods, tolerance and finish specifications.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks and/or Creo, Microsoft platform software and PLM software.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Product development, current and new.
  • Review current drawings, production programs and methodology including QC.
  • Reverse engineering of parts inclusive of manufacturing & service tolerances.
  • Confirm manufacturing drawings are accurately represented in final products within ProReman and also from ProReman’s supply partners.
  • Continual development and improvement of “In Process” and “Final” QC processes within ProReman and ProReman’s supply partners.
  • Create or revise metallurgical heat treatment programs in line with third party specialists.
  • Create or revise part and assembly designs for products currently not part of the ProReman’s work program.
  • Continually develop best practice work holding through Jig and Fixture Design.
  • Continual development and improvement of best practice machine process and machine process documentation.
  • Continual development and improvement of product service processes and documentation.
  • Develop and plan new projects from concept to release.
  • Train ProReman employees in best practice and continual review.
  • Other ad hoc engineering tasks as required
  • Comply with company policies and follow company values and business code of practice.
  • Exhibit ProReman core values, integrity and open global culture.
