About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Administrator to work on our complex road/rail project in Western Australia. This role will be Perth based and will assist with procurement of packages and be responsible for optimising margin whilst protecting the company from commercial risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and submission of progress claims and ensuring their timely payment.
  • Subcontract management including receipt and processing of subcontract interim payment claims & final accounts.
  • Process claims for variations and additional entitlement to time & money.
  • Prepare, submit & agree contractual claims for time & money.
  • Manage and participate where necessary in the preparation, submission & agreement of variations.
  • Advise the project management team on contractual issues & initiate correspondence.
  • Prepare, review & submit reports to prescribed timescales (including equipment and cost reports).
  • Review change management.


You will have
  • A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Law.
  • Hold an intermediate level of experience in a similar role, having worked for Tier 1 construction contractor companies in Australia.
  • Experience with procurement of subcontract packages.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of contract management, program financial management, risk and opport unity management, performance reporting, budget preparation and administration on major infrastructure projects.
  • Candidates with experience working on MRWA construction projects are encouraged to apply.
  • A high level of technical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with your ability to liaise confidently with a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be highly regarded.
  • A results driven and collaborative approach to work.
