We are currently seeking a full time Trainee Civil Designer to join our dynamic team of high achievers in Perth. We are looking for a fresh and motivated high school graduate that wants to kick start their professional career. You will be mentored by experienced designers to ensure that you have hands on experience to complement your studies.

Under Supervision, You Will

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of design and drafting services to Worley and its customers
  • Be involved with the delivery of civil specific design and drafting services that meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Meet design and drafting assignments on time and within budget
  • Provide support to the civil engineers and project team
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions and ask for assistance when required
  • Perform civil specific design and drafting services
  • Identify and report changes to project scope
  • Prepare engineering drawings and documentation
  • Create drawings and documents in accordance with Worley checking procedures


What You Will Bring

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
  • Completed or undertaking recognised and relevant design qualification courses or equivalent
  • Developing technical and practical design and drafting skills in the civil discipline in the same or similar industry
  • Developing skills in design software
  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
  • The ability to communicate effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and establish and maintain good working relationships
  • A strong willingness to learn and not afraid to ask the right questions to ensure that you are utilising the resources around you
  • Have a “hit the ground running” attitude
