Reporting to the Capital Works Supervisor, the Senior Civil Plumber/Drainer is an integral part of KRSP’s Capital Works team. You will undertake project works across a diverse range of assets including Water, Water treatment and Waste Water plants and associated equipment that provide essential services to remote Aboriginal communities throughout the Kimberley Region.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Experience in civil pipe laying, including utilities works such as watermains and gravity sewer.
  • Install sewer manholes, including benching.
  • Setting Out
  • Water and sewer main cut ins
  • Interconnection pipe work at tank site infrastructure, including ground tanks, elevated tanks, pressure pumping systems.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Civil Plumber/Drainer who has a proven track record of achieving results in a similar position, and is comfortable working remotely in isolation or as part of a small team of multi-disciplined trades. Your ability to demonstrate a high work ethic, integrity and safe work practices together with your positive mindset in dealing with work and people will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role you require:

  • trade qualification (plumbing)
  • experience working with PVC, Poly, DWV, Schedule 80 PVC, ABS and Rieber Ring Pipe (Blue Brute)
  • experience operating excavators and earthwork machinery
  • aptitude to solve problems as they arise.
  • ability to read and decipher plans
  • Working with Heights, EWP and Confined Space high risk licences
  • first aid qualification
  • white card
  • current MR or HR driver’s licence
Bulk earthworks experience would be an advantage but is not essential.


The role will operate on a Drive In / Drive out basis from Broome to remote Aboriginal Communities in the Kimberley. Accommodation is provided by the Company when travelling for work purposes.

Local Kimberley residents are encouraged to apply as are candidates who are interested in relocating to the Broome region. Fly In / Fly Out rosters are also offered for candidates located outside of the Kimberley region.


This is a permanent full-time position. A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
