JOB DESCRIPTION

With 40 years engineering expertise, ATC Williams is a mid-sized and employee-owned consultancy with offices located in Australia & South America. They are recognised as industry leaders in tailings, water and waste.

With a solid pipeline of Hunter Valley and Australian based mining projects, they are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in Singleton, NSW. This role will work on all facets of their service offering including:

  • Options & feasibility studies,
  • Site investigations,
  • Detailed analysis and design,
  • Construction supervision and quality assurance,
  • Planning and execution of facility closure.

You will hold a bachelor’s degree (minimum) in civil/geotechnical/geo-environmental engineering and be able to demonstrate between five and ten years’ post-graduate experience in a suitable professional setting. To be successful in this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator and committed to executing projects in a systematic and effective manner. In addition, you will be motivated by the lifestyle benefits of a regional centre.

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate experience in the selection, design, construction and operation of tailings storage facilities pursuant to the ANCOLD guidelines. Engineers with consulting and design experience in municipal waste or highway engineering and seeking to gain greater exposure to mining projects are encouraged to apply.
