  • AUD $126,158.00 - $141,373.00 per annum plus Superannuation
  • Option to work under a 19 day month arrangement

The City Projects and Property Division designs and constructs buildings, infrastructure, parks, streetscapes and public domains with a works program in excess of $200m. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

In this exciting role you will be responsible for:

  • supporting project teams in the management of capital works to approved budgets
  • managing a Quantity Surveyor Consultancy Panel for provision of capital works cost estimates and valuations
  • provision of advisory services pertaining to budget setting, tender analysis, contractual claims, and current construction materials and techniques
  • establishing a cost data bank using functional cost unit rates per project type
  • driving innovation and continual improvement in the estimation of project delivery costs.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • sound knowledge and proven extensive experience in Quantity Surveying and project cost estimating including the development, planning and delivery of capital works construction projects in the public and/or private sectors
  • tertiary qualifications, at degree level, in a relevant field, such as Quantity Surveying, Construction Management/Economics or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • sound contract management and communication ability including experience in achieving good relationships with clients, stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
