The Blueprint!
Your primary goal is simple! As a Project Engineer, you will be accountable to the effective delivery of a key construction and maintenance project set over the next three years to construct, revitalise, and enhance public footpaths and roads across the city! Enjoy the varied exposure of working with a highly skilled team, and specialist subcontractors!

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will ply your trade to support the supervision of contractors and teams; maintain safe and productive work environments; arrange and schedule plans and work programs; and manage project budgets whilst collaborating between all involved stakeholders!

The Toolbox!
You are an exceptional communicator, collaborative and outcomes focused! Your technical, supervisory, and organisational skills will be your key assets as you direct and oversee the onsite flow of work, materials, and people to ensure quality, safety, budget and scope measures comply!

You will have at least 3 years post graduate experience as a civil engineer, ideally on road infrastructure projects.

You will be trusted with:

  • Coordinating day to day activities and acting as a point of escalation for critical and non-critical events
  • Managing work crews, subcontractors and their packages of works including on site coordination
  • Coordinate truck movements, deliveries, tracking and reporting.
  • Organisation of plans and permits necessary for job scheduling.
  • Liaise with client representatives for approvals and notifications.
  • Implementation of Site Safety plans
  • Supporting the Project Manager and team to deliver contract scope on time and budget.
  • Actively liaise with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Short range programming of works
  • Tracking of daily progress and productivity and reporting
  • Analyse, document and record management for progress; project performance; safety and quality.
  • Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance to achieve outcomes.
