Our client is a well known Australian organisation that is leading the way in providing excellence in production and quality in the FMCG industry. An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Engineer to join this well established and highly regarded Australian business to oversee reliability and preventative maintenance functions.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for onsite maintenance, from day to day troubleshooting to preventative maintenance of the site equipment and assets, ensuring reliability through technical assurance and continuous improvement process. This role will require a sound understanding of technical equipment documentation, function and performance requirements, in order to develop comprehensive preventative maintenance plans that will assist in preserving the integrity and maximising the life of the assets.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

The successful candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or other related fields with proven experience in maintenance engineering particularly preventative maintenance process and procedures. Our client is seeking a hands on and motivated individual who has excellent problem solving and analytical mindset, as well as interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with people at all levels and across a variety of disciplines within the business. Strong computer skills and experience with MEX or other similar preventative maintenance systems are essential for this role. Some after hours and weekend work may be required.
