JOB DESCRIPTION

Role:

The Quality Engineer will work within our client's manufacturing site to ensure compliance to and improvement of the Quality Management System. This will be accomplished through close collaboration with Operations and Business to ensure quality performance of products and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain systems, procedures and policies to ensure compliance to with appropriate regulatory agencies and regulations, including but not limited to ISO 9001 and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure conformance to company Global Quality systems, policies and procedures.
  • Drive quality system, laboratory and manufacturing improvements to ensure our processes are in a state of control.
  • Assure product compliance to specifications through implementation of inspection criteria and procedures in operation's processes.
  • Assure procedure compliance to requirements through implementation of comprehensive internal audit and CAPA program.
  • Facilitate interactions with regulators, external auditors and customers to represent the company products and processes.
  • Manage customer complaints through a structured process; including root cause investigations, customer responsiveness, corrective action effectiveness monitoring and 8D reporting.
  • Apply standard operating practices and problem solving methodology across the organisation
  • Monitor & report on Quality Objectives in order to:
  • Identify and collaborate on projects and initiatives to improve the quality system.
  • Identify and collaborate on projects and initiatives to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with the company global organization on projects and initiatives as assigned.

What's required:

  • A Tertiary Degree in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy
  • 5-10 Year's Quality Engineering experience
  • Previous chemical plant manufacturing experience
  • Understanding of refinery operations
