Foresight Engineering Services is a well respected engineering consultancy based in Bright, North East Victoria. We undertake a broad range of projects for our extensive private and public sector client base. Our project workload consists of Civil, Structural and Mechanical engineering design and project management assignments. With a strong project pipeline and an ongoing growth strategy we are currently expanding our team.


An opportunity exists for a Civil Draftsperson to join our close knit Civil / Structural design group. The successful candidate would primarily be involved in producingcivil design outputs for a variety of projects using 3D drafting software (preference for AutoCAD & Civil 3D experience). You will work closely with the Senior Civil Engineer and Senior Surveyor to produce innovative and creative engineering solutions.


You will also be exposed to other areas of the business giving you the opportunity to develop skills in the structural and mechanical design fields.


The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Civil Draftsperson.
  • High level of expertise with the AutoCAD drafting suite with Civil 3D modelling experience preferred.
  • High degree of proficiency in the detailing of earthworks, drainage infrastructure, roadworks and civil structures.
  • A sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while ensuring all designs are completed using design best practice and appropriate templates and standards.
  • Willingness to be trained to carry out field survey works (GPS, 3D scanning, drone and total station survey).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise fluently with clients, engineers and architects.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain good working relationships with clients and workmates.
  • Ability to complete work within set standards of quality, time and cost.


We are seeking a candidate who is looking for a long term position. Ideally the successful candidate would be prepared to relocate to Bright, one of Australia’s premier tourist localities offering a range of outstanding lifestyle opportunities. For the right candidate with an appropriate level of experience, we are open to remote working arrangements.


An attractive remuneration package (based on experience) will be offered to the successful candidate with a preferred start date of May 2021.
