An exciting opportunity exists for a suitable Engineering Officer ensure development occurs in relation to Shoalhaven Water requirements.

About the role

This is a permanent full-time position, Monday to Friday located in Nowra Administration Building.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.


Reporting directly to the Unit Manager Project/ Development, the focus of this position is to:

  • Ensure development occurs in accordance with Shoalhaven Water’s requirements.
  • Ensure quality service to, and work performed by the development industry.
  • Participate in projects for the creation of assets to adopted standards.
  • Provide advice and service to customers, contractors, consultants etc.

Skills & Experience

  • Associate Diploma/Diploma in Civil or Environmental Engineering or advanced study leading to qualifications (or equivalent qualifications); and experience in water industry administration/supervision – construction and engineering administration, supervision, and/or construction.
  • Class C Driver’s License
  • Ability to consult, share information and work collaboratively.
  • Ability to demonstrate customer service values
  • Demonstrated effective time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to balance competing workloads and deliver within deadlines.
  • Well-developed problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Technical competence in surveying/engineering investigation, design or operations
