JOB DESCRIPTION

 Part Time Casual Teachers, Interior Design
• Located at Newcastle campus, Tighes Hill
• $83.00 per hour 

TAFE NSW is looking for creative and motivated individuals with current industry knowledge and experience in Interior Design to join our team of teachers on a casual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the Design team delivering teaching from Newcastle campus.

Being an integral part of the supportive and collaborative team of Design Teachers, you will be passionate about your industry and willing to share your experience and knowledge to the student cohort.

You will be responsible for constructing, guiding and enhancing the educational process, delivering educational programs, collaborating with a team of trainers and facilitating learning to enable students to achieve their desired outcomes.

 We would love to hear from you if you have the essential requirements below:

1. Certificate IV in Interior Decoration or equivalent OR Diploma of Interior Design or equivalent

2. Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously. 

3. Certificate IV TAE40116. . If you do not have the TAE 40116, we encourage you to contact us to discuss a pathway toward obtaining this qualification to teach at TAFE.

4. Be prepared to continue to develop your Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency and trainer/assessor competence. 

5. High level written and oral communication skills in English and Proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational, industrial or community environments. 

6. Commitment and ability to facilitate learning in an adult environment and demonstrated organisational skills applicable to an educational setting. 

7. Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and demonstrated ability to contribute in a team environment. 

8. Proven strengths in problem solving and change management.
