About The Role

We have a permanent opportunity based in Canning Vale with the Perth Region Construction Delivery team for an experienced Electrical Dual Tradesperson. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of electrical and instrumentation services including installation, testing, fault finding, repair and commissioning of all Water Corporation’s assets throughout the Region.

We are seeking an individual who takes ownership of their work area and can work effectively independently but also contributes to a positive team environment and safety culture.

To be successful in the role, we will be looking for relevant qualifications as outlined below:
  • INLEC dual trade certificate (preferred) or Electrician with Instrumentation certificate (considered)
  • A Grade WA Electrical license (minimum)
  • Endorsed Electrical Fitter / Mechanic
  • Current national “C” class driver’s license
  • Working at heights
  • Senior First Aid
  • Confined space certification / SCBA – 2 day nationally accredited course (desirable)
  • Current "Dogman" certificate (desirable)
  • Current national "HR / MR" class driver's license (desirable)


The Ideal Candidate Will Also Possess The Following
  • Awareness of and a strong commitment to OSHE procedures and standards
  • Experience in the construction and delivery of water and wastewater related assets (desirable)
  • Experience in working with instrumentation and electrical assets related to the water and wastewater industry (desirable)
  • Proven experience in installation, setup, field testing and commissioning of water and wastewater related assets
  • Proven experience in working with control / logic systems, PLCs, telemetry and remote communications systems, level control devices, magnetic flow-meters, VSD drives and other bespoke industry related equipment
  • Proven experience with water / wastewater industry (or equivalent) isolation and tagging procedures
  • Proficient in the use of industry related tools and equipment
