Concrete Agitator Driver/Relief Batcher

The role

Hy-Tec currently has an opportunity for a Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our fleet of Agitator Drivers on a permanent full time 12 month fixed term basis. Based out of our Port Macquarie site, you will load and deliver pre-mixed concrete to our customer sites. You will also be hands on in the plant with general maintenance, front end loader operation and general yard duties, as well as acting as a relief Batch Plant Operator (training will be provided).

As an Agitator Driver you will ensure that customer orders are delivered safely, effectively and efficiently. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a secure and growing industry.

This role will require you to work Monday to Friday, with Saturday work as required. Start and finish times will fluctuate and be changeable depending on customer demand.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver concrete to clients' sites
  • Manage concrete slump tolerance levels and the discharge of concrete
  • Complete basic documentation
  • Develop positive customer relationships
  • Maintain the truck in a clean and tidy condition
  • Batch concrete to specific mix designs
  • Front end loader operations
  • Management of raw material stock levels
  • Perform general plant maintenance
  • General laboring & yard duties
About you
  • As a minimum, hold a current HR drivers licence and be able to provide a driver’s licence history check
  • At least 1 year experience driving HR vehicles
  • Have a positive work ethic and sense of integrity to allow you to work self-directed
  • Be a reliable team player with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Highly regarded – have relevant concrete or construction industry experience
  • Confident when working with computers
