Develop and implement WHS strategic frameworks across Federal Government body.

Your new company
This Federal Government body is seeking a WHS Business Partner to join their team for a 3-month temporary assignment. You will be accountable for developing and implementing WHS frameworks considering longer-term strategic and operational outcomes.

Your new role
As a WHS Business Partner, you will be involved in providing strategic advice to ensure obligations are being met under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988. You will be involved in developing and implementing WHS frameworks and key audit recommendations with a strategic long-term view to ensure continuous improvement. In addition, you will be required to prepare briefing material whilst implementing action plans with various stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have demonstrated experience in developing WHS framework in line with Commonwealth legislation. We are looking for a strategic thinker with:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing WHS policies, procedures and processes in complex environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to implement WHS improvements
  • Relevant APS experience is desirable
  • Relevant qualification in Workplace Health & Safety
