What You’ll Do

Joining us on a Permanent full-time capacity, the primary responsibility of the Senior Safety Assurance Engineer (Signalling Data) will be to perform lifecycle safety assurance, and CENELEC compliance activities on the signalling data specific application safety assurance process.

You will be responsible for identifying any shortfalls in that process through audits and engaging with the relevant site data stakeholders to obtain or improve the quality of the process where required.

You will also be required to perform safety analysis on operational scenarios and the impact of configuration data errors on safety performance, and will need to consider all interfaces with Computer Based Train Control (CBTC) subsystems that will utilise signalling data from that process.

In your new role you will also provide signalling data safety input into system test case development and liaise with the CBTC testing team.

Who You Are

You will be familiar with the principles of Signalling, Data Engineering and Safety Engineering. In particular, awareness of requirements management and configuration management as applied to safety related data management.

An understanding of the V-model lifecycle phases as described in ISO/IEC 15288 will be advantageous.

Familiarity with the CENELEC rail safety standards such as EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129 and EN 50159 will be well regarded.
