The Division

The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.? ? 

The opportunity 

Right now, we have an opportunity for an Enterprise Operational Technology Architect to join us in the Technology and Innovation branch in a Fixed Term Full Time Opportunity till 30 June 2022. 

The role is responsible for Operational Technology (OT) domain advice and assurance services with a primary focus on enabling secure OT connectivity from premise into the cloud and between ISA95 zones. 

The role will work closely with peers within CST, and across the cluster to provide architectural assurance and advice relating to OT device and network connectivity, particular between Industrial Automation and Control; and Model Control and Integrated Operations layers.

The role is responsible for ensuring any systems enabled through OT are conformant to the appropriate ISA95 and ISA99 standards, and directly support Customer Strategy & Technology (CST) teams in delivery of OT roadmaps and assurance activities.

What you will be involved in:

  • Provide OT architecture and technology advice across the Customer Technology (CT) and OT landscapes.
  • Provide knowledge in cloud network connectivity and ISA95/99 compliance 
  • Under direction of the Manager, engage with the CST systems engineering and network management teams on the development of whole-of-cluster enterprise OT architecture strategies, frameworks, and governance as required.
  • Support the Enterprise Architect team in their strategy and roadmap activities through bringing intellectual rigor and best practice approaches to developing OT architecture.

About you

You will have extensive industry experience and well-developed understanding of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) 9.2 and Archimate 3.0 In addition to this, you will also have a well-developed understanding of key CT/OT frameworks such as ISA95 and ISA99.

You will ideally have industry experience with cloud connectivity technologies, and edge and network architectures.

As an individual, you will combine this with remaining current with industry best practice to ensure CT/OT capabilities, strategies, roadmaps, and solutions are fit for purpose.

Ideally, you are looking for a role where you can bring your skills to create a baseline and curate the operational technology systems, devices and data portfolio.

Salary and?Benefits? 
The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 9 ($135,898-?$152,204) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
