As a Solutions Architect you will be a technical and sales focused professional responsible for growing revenue across our broad range of products and services. You will work with the sales team on opportunities, architecting and designing solutions and preparing proposals which are commercially and technically accurate.

What you'll do

In this role, you will:

  • Assist the sales team with early-stage opportunities by providing pre-sales support and expertise. Attend sales meetings to explore possible solutions. Prepare high-level project and budget proposals.
  • Own the scoping and quoting process including the technical (technical qualification, scoping, design and architecture) and commercial (costing, proposal/quotation) aspects. Be the conduit between sales and professional services.
  • The output of your work is a client proposal which is both technically and commercially accurate and complete. The sales team might add an executive summary and adjust pricing, but the remainder of a proposal is your work.
  • Once a proposal has been accepted, you will perform a formal handover to our Professional Services team but will continue to have some oversight, particularly around any changes to scope or clarification of requirements.
  • You will also play an important role in the ongoing development of our products and services.

You will report to our Product Manager and work with our sales, professional services, procurement and operations teams. You will be able to draw on other members of the technical team as needed to assist with project scoping.

Your background and skills

We are looking for a person with considerable experience doing this role. This means you have:

  • A proven track record in a pre-sales, sales or consultancy role within an IT services business.
  • Significant expertise and experience with the technology we sell including cloud services (Azure preferred), networks, Microsoft 365, cyber security and a broad range of other technologies.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering effective presentations and solutions.

  • Appropriate certifications or qualifications.

Employment specifics

This is a permanent full time role, based in our head office in St Kilda Road Melbourne but with the option to work from home on some days.Salary to be negotiated based on your skills and experience. The salary will reflect the fact that you're skilled and experienced (this is not a junior role).
