QR is looking for a mechanical engineer with expertise in automotive industry who could deliver the following capabilities:

  • Responsible for the design, development and release of commodity components for global vehicle platform.
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of a cross functional project team including CAD, CAE, supplier, manufacturing, purchasing/cost estimation and development of assigned components.
  • Proven track record of strong CAD and CAE skills which should be transferable across multiple software like NASTRAN, AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc.
  • Lead problem resolution to achieve timely and cost-effective solutions to issues as they arise using root cause analysis and issue resolution techniques.
  • Use, drive and maintain the PD operating tools and to the GPDS system and deliverables.
  • Generating and analysing CAE system models to predict and improve structure borne vehicle vibration and acoustic performance and compare this performance to established targets during the design and prototype development phases.
  • Achieve NVH across-attribute balance, affordable costs and quality targets.

The candidate must have:

  • Degree in Mechanical or relevant discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience in automotive industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of production and manufacturing systems in automotive industry.
  • Expertise in CAD and CAE tools including AutoCAD, SolidWorks HYPERMESH, nCODE, ABAQUS and NASTRAN.
